  • 6 STEP 1: SET UP SCREEN STANDS Remove screen stands from protective bags and place about ve and a half feet apart. A. Loosen lower adjustment knob as pic- tured above, turning counter clockwise. Be careful not to over-tighten knobs! Doing so can damage stands. B. Grab one of the three legs, and push down until support arms are horizontal to the ground, as pictured

  • Open Air Cinema CINEBOX LITE, 7 SECURE TETHERS AND STAKES STEP 2: SECURE TETHERS AND STAKES In order to prevent your screen from unexpectedly tipping over when installing outdoors, we recommend securing your screen to the ground with the provided nylon tethers and ground stakes. A. Find the loop in the middle of the tethers, and place loop over top of screen stand (whether in low or high position). B. Preview of how screen will be posi- tioned over tethers (do not place screen onto stands yet). C. Place tethers at 45 degree angles away from screen stands. Secure to ground with provided ground stakes, one in each corner D. Properly secured screen stands with screen (unfold and place screen

  • Open Air Cinema CINEBOX LITE, 8 LITE SCREEN SETUP A. Unzip screen bag and remove screen. B. Unfold screen - it sets up in a snap! Be careful to not let white projection surface touch the ground. STEP 3: REMOVE SCREEN FROM BAG AND UNFOLD STEP 4: ATTACH SCREEN TO STANDS A. Cinch velcro straps tightly around screen stands. B. Properly secured screen on stands. High position pictured. Attach your screen to the screen stands using the adjustable velcro straps. For the low position, rest the top velcro strap just above the pole adjust- ment knob. For the high position, rest the lower velcro strap just above the pole adjustment knob.

  • 10 PROJECTOR AND TRIPOD SETUP A. Attach projector to tripod by threading it onto the projector mount as pictured above. B. Rotate projector clockwise and tighten into place (do not over-tighten). Place projector on tripod with projector lens at center and approx 8.5’ away from projection surface (see p9 for more detail). B. Place Braven speaker in front and in the middle of the projection surface, facing to- wards audience (see p9 for more detail). Uncoil HDMI, Universal i/o (included with video projector), and 3.5mm mini audio cables (pic- tured below). HDMI cable (for connecting Blu-ray player to video projector) Universal i/o projector cable (for con- necting 3.5mm audio cable to projector and Braven speaker). Included inside HD video projector packaging. 3.5 mm audio cable (for connecting Braven speaker to universal i/o projec- tor cable). Connect the Blu-ray player to the projector with the HDMI cable, connect the projector to the speakers with the universal i/o cable and the 3.5mm audio cable. B.   • Open Air Cinema CINEBOX LITE, 15 STEP 10: PLUG IN PROJECTOR + SPEAKER (IF NEEDED) A. Plug in projector power cable into power source. Plug in Braven speaker if battery is not charged. ATTENTION! MAKE SURE YOUR BRAVEN SPEAK- ER BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED BEFORE YOUR SCREENING. CHARGE THE BATTERY BY PLUGGING THE SPEAKER INTO A POWER SUPPLY. IF IT’S NOT CHARGED, YOU CAN ALWAYS PLUG IT IN, BUT TO OP- ERATE IT WIRELESSLY YOU MUST CHARGE IT AHEAD OF TIME STEP 11: POWER ON ALL DEVICES A. Power on Blu-ray player B. Power on Braven speaker.   • Open Air Cinema CINEBOX LITE, 16 STEP 13: INSERT BLU-RAY DISK AND PUSH PLAY Insert your Blu-ray disk into Blu-ray player and push play. You will now see your movie on your Lite screen. STEP 14: ADJUST AUDIO VOLUME Return to speaker and adjust audio volume as necessary, pushing the plus and minus buttons for less and more volume respectively. You may also use an MP3 player, iPod, or iPhone to test audio levels with full sound.

  • Open Air Cinema CINEBOX LITE, 17 IMAGE ALIGNMENT STEP 15: ALIGNING THE IMAGE Use the tripod ball head to adjust the image and ensure that it lls the projection surface. You may need to reposition the projector and tripod if the zoom function is not sufcient to ll the screen. Consult projector manual on the focus, zoom, and keystone features. Image needs keystone adjustment Properly adjusted image STEP 2: WIDESCREEN 16:9 VS FULLSCREEN 4:3 IMAGE The Open Air Lite Screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9 (wides- creen). Some Blu-Ray and DVD content may be formated in a 4:3 (fullscreen) aspect ratio which will not ll the entire screen

  • Open Air Cinema CINEBOX LITE, 18 WATCH YOUR MOVIE You’re all ready to watch your movie, so sit back, relax, and enjoy! For troubleshooting steps, see next page. SYSTEM TAKEDOWN Power down projector by pushing power button on top of projector or by using remote. Make sure projector cools down completely before unplugging or turning off power source. Failure to do so could result in projector or bulb damage. Power down all electronic components, neatly coil all cables, and return components to cases. Take down screen stands and return to cases. Unhook tethers from stakes. Remove stakes from ground and clean off any debris or dirt

MAKE SURE SCREEN IS NOT WET WHEN STORING! IF NECESSARY, DRY SCREEN INDOORS BEFORE STORING IN BAG. A. Hold the screen in front of you with the projection surface facing away from the ground. Begin to fold screen in half, hold- ing both sides of the screen with hands. B. While folding in half, pull wrists inward so that screen begins to collaps on itself. NO SOUND Starting at the image source make sure all components are connected to the correct input and output. Make sure the correct projector input is selected.
