SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS In the interest of your safety and to en- sure the correct use, before installing and first using the appliance, read this user manual carefully, including its hints and warnings. To avoid unnecessary mis- takes and accidents, it is important to ensure that all people using the appli- ance are thoroughly familiar with its op- eration and safety features. Save these instructions and make sure that they re- main with the appliance if it is moved or sold, so that everyone using it

Power cord must not be length- ened. 2. Make sure that the power plug is not squashed or damaged by the back of the appliance. A squashed or damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire. 3. Make sure that you can come to the mains plug of the appliance. 4. Do not pull the mains cable. 5. If the power plug socket is loose, do not insert the power plug. • AEG A81000TNW0, • To switch off the Acoustic Alarm and the Temperature Display flashing, press ALARM STOP Acoustic Alarm OFF Button. • When switching on the freezer for the first time, the Red ALARM Indicator Light will blink until the internal tem- perature has reached a level required for the safe conservation of frozen food. If the ALARM STOP button is not pressed then the acoustic alarm will break off after approx. one hour. The Red ALARM Indicator Light will continue to flash. FIRST USE 3.1 Cleaning the interior Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand-new product, then dry thoroughly. Do not use detergents or abra- sive powders, as these will dam- age the finish. 4. DAILY USE 4.1 Freezing fresh food The freezer compartments (indicated with graphics) are suitable for freezing fresh food and storing frozen and deep- frozen food for a

No further food to be frozen should be added during this period; • only freeze top quality, fresh and thor- oughly cleaned, foodstuffs; • prepare food in small portions to ena- ble it to be rapidly and completely fro- zen and to make it possible subse- quently to thaw only the quantity re- quired; • wrap up the food in aluminium foil or polythene and make sure that the packages are airtight; • do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food which is already frozen, thus avoiding a rise in temperature of the latter; • lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones; salt reduces the stor- age life of food; • water ices, if consumed i
