For example, rice should be cooked in two stages: Stage 1 starts rice at 100% power for 5 minutes, Stage 2 completes cooking 10- 12 minutes at 50% power leve. SET STAGE 1: Assuming 100% power, just touch number pad as described in “Quick & Easy” setting on page 8, for correct first stage time. Longer cord sets or extension cords are available and may be used if care is excerised in their use. 3. If a long cord or extension cord is used: a) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. b) The extension cord must be a grounding-type 3-wire cord, and the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
