Aristo R100, Managing Power 3-3 Battery Pack The battery pack is the internal power source for the computer. It is rechargeable using the AC adapter. The operating time of a fully charged battery pack depends on how you are using the computer. When your applications often access peripherals, you will experience a shorter operating time. NOTE: Care and maintenance information for the battery is provided in the “Battery Pack Guidelines” section in Chapter 7. A small number of missing, discolored, or bright dots on the screen are an intrinsic characteristic of TFT LCD technology. It is not regarded as a LCD defect. The external monitor displays nothing. Make sure that the monitor is turned on. Make sure that the monitor’s signal cable is properly connected. Switch the display to the monitor by pressing the Fn+F5 hot key or change the display through the Display Settings Properties of Windows Vista (via settings in Display Properties of Windows XP). Aristo R100, Troubleshooting 8-11 The computer does not enter Hibernation mode with the Fn+F12 hot keys. Make sure that the Hibernation function is specified for the sleep button. You might be using a PC card that prevents the computer from entering Hibernation mode. To enter the mode, stop the communication program and then remove the card or stop the card. Software Problems An application program does not work correctly. Make sure that the software is correctly installed. In most cases, there are three levels: menu title, pull-down menu, and submenu. Use the keyboard to move around and make selections. Keyboard information can be found at the bottom of the screen. Each menu title brings a specific menu. The left column of the menu displays the menu items. The top-right of the menu provides more detailed information when a menu item is highlighted. The bottom of the menu provides keyboard instructions for moving around and making selections.

The internal 10/100/1000Base-T LAN (Local Area Network) module allows you to connect your computer to a network. It supports data transfer rate up to 1000 Mbps.
