Compaq PowerStorm 1000, vii Preface Introduction This document provides information for installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and upgrading the DIGITAL PowerStorm 1000 graphics subsystem and installing optional texture memory on the Image Rendering Module. Audience This document is for service personnel who are responsible for installing, servicing, and upgrading the PowerStorm 1000 graphics subsystems. Perform a normal system power down (see Section 5.2). 2. Check the packing list to ensure that all items listed have been received. If the equipment is damaged or if any items are missing, notify the delivery agent and contact the DIGITAL sales representative. Grasp the top of the front bezel on each side and pull out until the top of the bezel unsnaps from the catches. 2. Tilt the top of the front bezel out and lift up to remove the front bezel from the chassis (see Figure 5-1).
