Place two ProMonitor 400 speakers 6 to 8 feet apart to the left and right of your TV. Avoid placing the speakers closer than 2 feet from side walls. Angling the speakers slightly toward the central listening position will result in more detail and greater clarity. For best results, place the subwoofer on the same side of the room as your front speakers. 2. Start by placing the subwoofer in a corner or against the wall. 3. An acoustic effect called “standing waves” or “room modes” may cause uneven bass at various locations through- out the room. This phenomenon is a function of the dimen- sions of the room and not due to the design of the sub- woofer. 4. • Definitive Technology ProCinema 400 System, AC Mains (Power) Connection Once you have connected it to the receiver, the ProSub 400 must be plugged into a 110V – 240V, 50Hz/60Hz electrical socket (use an unswitched outlet if possible) with the supplied AC power cord. Flip the POWER rocker switch to the ON position. The subwoofer has a circuit which automatically turns the subwoofer to a standby mode 20 to 24 minutes after the cessation of signal.
