If paper has jammed, open the ADF cover and remove any jammed paper. Then lift the scanner cover and remove any pages caught beneath it. Caution: Do not try to remove the pages without opening the ADF cover or you could damage the mechanism. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if necessary. Note: You cannot clean the print head if an ink cartridge is expended, and may not be able to clean it when a cartridge is low.
