If the machine is used twice per day on average, the appliance must be descaled at least once every 3 months. Remove the Water Filter from the Water Reservior if fitted.   • FLAVIA Flavia Coffeemaker, Periodic Maintenance Your appliance is supplied with a Water Filter to ensure the optimal quality of water used in brewing your beverages. To maintain the quality of beverages brewed, while protecting and extending the life of your appliance, you will need to replace this filter periodically. The recommended replacement frequency is every 50 litres (approximately 250 beverages) or 2 months whichever comes first. The frequency of replacement depends on the number of drinks brewed. Daily maintenance Fill the Water Reservoir or empty the Drip Tray if required. Any other daily maintenance should be unnecessary. Weekly maintenance Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Open the Pack Door and wipe the inside surfaces of the Pack Holder with a damp cloth. Remove the Lid and fill the Water Reservoir with cold water up to the MAX indication line and put it back on to the appliance. We recommend filtered drinking water only. A full reservoir allows you to make up to six 7 oz. beverages. Never pour anything other than cold water in to the reservoir. Switch the appliance on. The 3 Indicator Lights will flash slowly while the water is heating up (which will take about 90 seconds).
