Skip step 1 if you have not yet connected to an antenna or a cable system. 1 Connect a coaxial cable between the ANTENNA OUT terminal on the VCR and the antenna terminal on the TV. A coaxial cable is usually included with a VCR. (If not, check your local electronics store). 2 Connect a set of video/audio cables between the VIDEO/AUDIO OUT jacks on the VCR and the VIDEO/AUDIO jacks on the TV. If you have a mono VCR, connec

The screen will go blank and the following message will appear: “Excessive rating.” To resume normal viewing, tune to a different channel using the number buttons. Under certain conditions (depending on the rating of the local TV programs) the V-Chip might lock out all the channels. In this case, use the V.Chip button for an “emergency escape”: 1.
