Simpson SWT554, 15 ECO OPTION Water Return (Model: SWT754) Pressing the “Eco Option” button allows you to change the Eco options. to return water to the washing machine from the laundry trough. Before you save water, make sure that the laundry trough has enough capacity or an overflow drain is fitted to avoid flooding onto the floor. The recommended size for the laundry trough is 104 litres. At the start of the WATER RETURN cycle the pump and hose are primed by letting some water from the tap into the washing machine and then pumping it out into the trough. Chemicals referred to on pages 19 and 20 are available from your local supermarket, hardware store or the chemist. YELLOWING OR GREYING CLOTHES Problem GREYNESS YELLOWING STAINED CLOTHES Hints for removing stains Treat all stains as soon as possible. The longer you leave a stain the harder it will be to remove. Try soakers and stain removers first. IMPORTANT: Pre-treatment sprays and stain removers can damage plastic components on your washing machine. If you use pre-treatment sprays or stain removers, apply them to the clothes items in a well ventilated area

Simpson SWT554, 4 The different models (See page 14 for rinse option instructions) Eco rinse option When Eco rinse is used, rinse water is sprayed into the wash bowl in pulses. After each pulse the wash bowl will spin to remove detergent laden water from the clothes. Normally the machine will go through a series of six pulse sprays and short spin cycles in this manner, followed by the final long spin that removes the water from the clothes to complete the wash. START/PAUSE is used to Start, Stop and Continue the wash. If you have started your wash and you wish to stop it for some reason, press the START/PAUSE button and hold it for 1.2 second to enter pause mode The time remaining is shown then “ ”. 12 WASH CYCLE IN PROGRESS END OF PROGRAM After selecting a program, the duration is displayed in hours and minutes (for example 2.05). Your washing machine will pump the sudsy wash water into the laundry trough at the end of the wash cycle. CAUTION: CAUTION: Do NOT reuse rinse water for the next wash if fabric softener has been used. Softener and detergent together can cause hard sludge inside your machine and result in a poor wash. Simpson SWT554, 8 ADD THE DETERGENT 1. Measure the correct amount of powder or liquid detergent by following the recommendations on the package. 2. Mix detergent in one litre of hot or warm water. 3. Add the pre-mixed detergent to the wash load. Don’t do these things: * Using too little detergent will give you a poor wash result. * Using excessive detergent will create to many suds and may cause overloading of the motor during the spin stage of the wash cycle. To avoid excessive suds, reduce the amount of detergent you use. It is best to use detergent labelled low sudsing. Good quality,
