Grundig Music Boy 40, ENGLISH 9 OVERVIEW ___________________________________________ Controls on the top ON/OFF Switches the device on and off. ɷ TONE ɦ For setting the tone. ļ For raising the telescopic antenna (FM and SW reception). LIFT Controls on the front FM MW SW Station and waveband scale. Controls on the sides + VOL. – Adjusts the volume. 0 Earphone socket (3.5 mm stereo plug); Mono playback via earphones. TUNING For tuning to a radio station. SW •MW•FM Waveband switch: switches between the wavebands FM (UKW), MW (medium wave) and SW (short wave). Controls on the back AC ~ Connection socket for power cable supplied. Battery compartment. Handle. ǵ
10 Mains operation Note: Check that the mains voltage on the type plate (on the bottom of the device) corresponds to your local mains supply. If this is not the case, contact your specialist dealer. 1 Plug the mains cable supplied into the »AC ~« socket on the device. 2 Plug the mains cable into the socket (230 V~, 50/60 Hz). Grundig Music Boy 40, ENGLISH 11 RADIO MODE _______________________________________ Tuning radio stations 1 Press »ON/OFF« to switch on the device. 2 Adjust the volume using »VOLUME«. 3 Select the waveband with the waveband switch. Note: For the best FM or SW reception, extend the telescopic antenna and direct it accordingly. The radio has a built-in rod antenna for MW reception. Turn the device around to direct the antenna. 4 Find and tune the station using »TUNING«. 5 Use »TONE« to adjust the tone as required.
