• Philips MCD179/12, English 30 System Menu Options Component Sets the video output according to your video connection. This setting is not required if you are using the COMPOSITE VIDEO jack (yellow) to connect the DVD micro system to your TV. ➜ S-Video: Select this if you have connected the DVD micro system to your TV using S-Video jack. ➜ SCART: Select this for SCART connection. TV Type See "Getting Started-Step 2: Setting up the TV" for details. Preference Page The options included in Preference Page are: "Audio", "Subtitle", “Disc Menu

To view the clock in any sound source (CD or FM for example ) ● Press briefly DISPLAY/CLOCK (or CLOCK on the remote control ). Setting clock 1 In standby mode, press and hold DISPLAY/ CLOCK. ➜ The clock digits flash on the display panel. ➜ If the clock has not been set, "00: 00" flashes 2 Press TUNING à / á (or à / á on the remote) to set the hours. 3 Press í/ ë to set the minutes. 4 Press PROG to select between 12 hour and 24 hour display. 5 Press DISPLAY/CLOCK agian to store the setting. ➜ The clock starts working. Doing so may cause the disc player malfunction. – If the inhibit icon appears on the TV screen when a button is pressed, it means the function is not available on the current disc or at the current time.
