The frequency of descaling depends on usage and the hardness of the water in your area. Excessive scale can cause the kettle to switch off before boiling and may damage the element invalidating the warranty. It is essential that regular descaling takes place. Remove hard scale using a proprietary descaling product suitable for plastic kettles.
