• NewAir XJ-3000C, Step #1 ° Carefully unpack the XJ-3000C from the box. (Keep the box and all the packing material as it is required if you need to return the the first 90 days.) Step #2 o Open the front product within cover of the purifier and remove the air filter. Step #3 o Remove the plastic covering from the air filter. Step #4 o Carefully tear off the perforated cardboard covering the back side of the air filter cartridge. (It opens like a box of tissue.) This is the HEPA filter side of the filter cartridge. Step #5 o Place the air filter (with the blue side facing out) back into the air purifier and reinstall the front cover. (The blue side is the pre=

• NewAir XJ-3000C, Step #2 o Remove old bulb o Unplug the unit and open the front cover. Remove the air filter cartridge. o The ends of the bulb are held in place by two very simple plastic clamps. Gently snap their covers open. (The one on the left snaps over to the left, the one on the right, to the right. It won't take much force to open them.) o Remove the expired UV lamp.
