GE Monogram ZBD6400, 22 Care and Cleaning Dishwasher The Wash Filters In addition to the glass trap, your dishwasher has three fine filters— • a two piece round perforated stainless steel filter located in the base of the dishwasher. • a finer micro-mesh filter located under the stainless steel filter. • a super fine filter located below the lower spray arm. Remove the stainless steel filter by first twisting and removing the glass trap. Lift out the stainless steel filter. Attached to the underside of this filter is the micro-mesh filter. To clean the exterior painted panels use a good appliance polish wax. Never use sharp objects, scouring pads or harsh cleaners on any part of the dishwasher. This means that if you select NORMAL WASH your dishwasher will automatically select the options that you selected last time you washed with the NORMAL WASH cycle. You can change the options that have been remembered with a particular wash cycle if you desire. To begin this cycle, press the START button. To select a different cycle, press the desired Cycle Selection and Option buttons, and then press the START button. To remove the lower spray arm, grasp the center of the spray arm and pull upwards, it will unclip. When replacing, make sure the spray arm is fully seated and spins. The plastic cone on the underside of the spray arm can be detached by unscrewing it counterclockwise. To remove the upper spray arm, carefully unscrew the spray arm from the plastic tower.
