Alfa Romeo A0B0364b, SOUND SYSTEM WITH CASSETTE PLAYER 12 RDS (Radio Data System) This is radiophonic information system which uses the 57 kHz subcarrier of normal FM broadcasts. With this function it is possible to receive different types of information such as traf- fic bulletins, station names, alternative fre- quencies or special programmes selected through the PTY function. REG (Regional transmission reception function) Function with which it is possible to tune only to local (regional) stations. The dis- play will show the direction selected: – “FORWARD” – “REWIND”. To interrupt fast forward/rewind, press “ ˙˙ ” (9) or “ ¯¯ ” (12) again. To turn the function on/off, use “ ¯¯ ” (4) or “ ˙˙ ” (7). The display will show the current status of the function: – “HICUT ON”: function on – “NO HICUT”: function off. The display shows the side of the cassette that is being played. To change side before the end of the tape, press “ ¯˙ ” (3) (Reverse function); the display will change accordingly. EON (Enhanced Other Network) Function that allows the radio to tune au- tomatically on a different station that the one being listened to which broadcasts traf- fic information. Fader Function with which it is possible to ap- propriately adjust the sound from the front or rear speakers. Hicut (Treble reduction) Function with which it is possible to reduce the treble tones, in accordance with the sig- nal transmitted. When low sensitivity is set “SENS- LO” only stations with excellent reception are sought, when high sensitivity is set “SENS-DX” all stations are sought. There- fore, if the car is in an area with a consid- erable number of stations and you want to choose only those with a strong signal, set to low sensitivity “SENS-LO”. This function makes it possible to tune in on- ly on local stations (regional). However if a regional programme is heard and you wish to stay tuned to it, the function must be ac- tivated. To eject CDs: press and keep pressed the button set aside the slot of the CD to be ejected. ANTITHEFT PROTECTION CD Changer The sound system is fitted with a CD Changer antitheft protection system con- sisting of a four-digit secret code. The pro- tection system makes the CD Changer un- usable. Entering the secret code Entry of the secret code is required to make the CD Changer work each time it is con- nected to the sound system. Con

To resume playing the track, press preset button 3 (15) again. Repeat function Briefly press the preset button 4 (12) to listen repeatedly to the last track played: for about 2 seconds the display will show “RPT TRACK”. Press the preset button 4 (12) a second time to turn off the repeat function: for about 2 seconds the display will show “RPT OFF”. When the function is on the display shows “RPT”. To remove the roughness from the edge of the disc use a ball-point pent, etc. To remove fingerprints and dust, use a soft cloth starting from the centre of the Com- pact Disc outwards. No Ball-point pen Roughness No WARNING Do not use the protective sheets for CD in commerce or discs with sta- bilisers, etc. as they might get stuck in the internal mechanism and damage the disc. WARNING If the CD is copy-protected, the system may need few seconds before starting to play it.

Insert the loader (A-fig. 5) completely into the CD player observing the direction of the arrow marked on the loader side. Close the sliding lid (D-fig. 6) after in- serting the CD loader to prevent dust or for- eign matters infiltration into the CD player.
