The following batteries are acceptable.  LR03 (size AAA) alkaline battery x 2  R03 (size AAA) Nickel-Metal Hydride battery x 2 2. Carefully slide down the rear battery cover and insert 2 AAA batteries into the device in the orientation displayed inside. 3. Replace the battery cover. 4.
