If the Time Out Time is exceeded, release PTT and wait for the channel to be available again. Once emergency mode is activated, the radio switches to the emergency channel set for the selected zone in radio programming or may initiate the emergency transmissions on the current channel. Most of these advanced features may be disabled in radio programming. Once the appropriate ID is displayed, press SELECT to edit the entry or # to initiate an acknowledged individual call to the displayed unit. Up to six of the first entries may be predefined in radio programming and may not be editable. Individual call initiation may be disabled by radio programming.
