These instructions as well as guidance from your hearing instrument specialist will help you use and care for your ePocket for optimum performance. In this guide, you’ll find information on the operation, features, and changing the battery. In addition, a troubleshooting section is included for your reference. When engaged, the key lock deactivates the buttons on the ePocket so that accidentally pressing the buttons will not have any effect. This featu- re may be useful when carrying the ePocket in a pocket or purse, for example to avoid undesired changes. Whenever you turn the system off and then on, or the battery is repla- ced, the hearing system will return to Program 1. Each time you press the program button, you move to the next program.   • Siemens ePocket, 13 Changing the batteries The ePocket is powered by two AAAA batteries. The ePocket display will indicate that you need to change the batteries when the symbol at the left is displayed. To change the batteries, gently pull down the cover of the ePocket battery compartment until it is opened. Insert two batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside the compartment. Always use new batteries when replacing dead batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Return dead batteries to your hearing instrument specialist for proper disposal. If you won’t be using your ePocket for an extended period time, remove the batteries. Batteries may leak.
