• AIPTEK POCKETCAM 8200, - 15 - 1. Hold the camera at arm’s length, and point it at your face. 2. Tilt the camera until you see yourself in the mirror. 3. Press the Shutter/Record Button halfway down to lock the focus. 4. Press the Shutter/Record Button to take a still picture. Before taking a still picture, you can use the Zoom Buttons ( ) to zoom in or zoom out the screen, thus retaining the best result. ► Zooming ► Using the Self-Portrait Mirror (For DSC and DV mode) Zoom in Zoom out

In the menu, use the Left/Right Buttons ( ) to highlight the Strobe item, and press the Menu/OK Button ( ) to confi rm. 3. Use the Left/Right Buttons ( ) to select the desired item, and then press the Menu/OK Button ( ) to confi rm. When the following screen appears, please select Search for the best driver for your device and click on Next to continue. 3. During the installation process, some users might be asked to insert a licensed 98SE CD into the CD-ROM drive to copy the needed files. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the installation.  Notice for Windows 2000 users: When using the PC Camera function for the first time, the “Digital signature” warning message may appear twice or more. • - 51 - ► Viewing/Playing files on your PC 1. Double-click on My Documents or any other folder that stores your files. 2. Double-click on the desired file, and the file will be opened by the program matching the file’s type.

• AIPTEK POCKETCAM 8200, - 31 - ► Digital Camcorder - Setting video resolution 1. While in Digital Camcorder mode, press the Menu/OK Button ( ). 2. In the menu, use the Left/Right Buttons ( ) to highlight the Size item, and press the Menu/ OK Button ( ) to confi rm. 3. In the subsequent menu, use the Left/Right Buttons ( ) to select your desired item, and press the Menu/OK Button ( ) to confi rm. For detailed information on each setting, please refer to the corresponding page. ► Camera settings mode ► Setting date and time 1. Select the Time item and press the Menu/OK Button ( ). 2. Use the Left/Right Buttons ( ) to adjust the value. Press the Menu/OK Button ( ) to confi rm the setting and move to next fi eld. Repeat the setting until all fi elds are done. Please Change Battery The camera is under the status of low power. You should change the battery immediately. Memory Full The storage memory is full and can not store any more files. Please change the SD/MMC card or delete some files to free some memory space. Card Error The inserted card is not compatible with the camera. Please change the card or try formatting the card. In the subsequent menu, use the Left/Right Buttons ( ) to select On or Off, and press the Menu/OK Button ( ) to confi rm.  Enabling this function will let you hear voice memos (see page 22) while reviewing your pictures. • AIPTEK POCKETCAM 8200, - 8 - In addition to built-in flash memory, your camera can store data on a Secure Digital (SD) card or a MultiMedia card (MMC). The supported memory size ranges from 8MB to 1GB. To insert a SD/MMC card, gently push the card as indicated until the card reaches the end of the slot. Note that once a SD/MMC card is inserted, the camera will use the card as the main storage media.
